Pilates for Back Care

Pilates exercises are modified to encourage the correct movement & support of the spine.

When you suffer from back pain the body generally compensates & begins to use alternative muscles to move & support the body. This can result in postural misalignments which, in turn, can cause pain. By learning to move effectively you will learn to use the right muscles and begin to correct muscle imbalances. This will relieve tightness & strain & hopefully prevent pain.

Strengthening the back and abdominal muscles will ensure that your back is protected in everyday activities.

If you have been or are undergoing treatment with another medical professional your programme will work alongside their recommendations.
